Why do you write?

I write like my hand is on fire, like my life may end at any moment, like there is nothing better I might be doing--because I love it just that much.

What fuels my creativity is reading the creative work of others that spreads my awe and delight at their inventions like wildfire across my brain.

Any favorite authors? Books?

Calvino, Borges, Moody, Woolf, St. Vincent Millay, Tennyson, Moore, Munro, Boyle, Shephard, Williams (T), James, Orwell, etc.

hiii heather!!!! how is everything? yes, i know, i realized you hollered three years later, haha.

No prob! I actually felt bad writing anything remotely ‘negative’ because everyone else’s comments were so happy…he he. I really love the feel of that story. I just thought after awhile it seemed to be going back to the same kind of thing. That’s all. But I’ve been thinking so singly on 1000 words or less stories that ALL of my longer stories seem in need of a shave. :-)

Backatcha beauty! Great reads as always. -_-

thanks for the nice comment on my story and for all the good advice. you are a fabulous writer and reader, and will always have a fan in me!

James Robison, Mar 22

Thank you for your comment and I’m glad you tagged the fact that in a story without drama there had to be a kind of argument between high diction and low diction and between the locutionary and perlocutionary— at least to the degree that I understand those terms.

Stephen Stark, Mar 15

Thanks for the note. I’m a fellow Hollins grad, although in 1984 it was still Hollins College.

thanks!!

Hi, Heather!

You, my darling are both and angel and a goddess. I, sadly, am a screenwriting troll who is plotting out a kids-time travel script I’m hot to get too. Much, much love to you my dear friend.

Lady Fowler! So glad to be here with you, another sand box; this one full of clean white sand (though now that the gang is here it will soon have lolipop wrappers, cigarette butts and broken glass from the bottle of JD that Verless and I were pulling off). I’m happy to have a new way to see your work.
