About Me

I like to monkey around with words.
It's how I play.

Peace ~ Rene

Why do you write?

Life and my experiences during my time here on earth are what fuel my creativity.
I write about what I know, but more importantly, I write about what I want to know.
And what I really want to know is...???
I am also less of a trainwreck on paper.

Any favorite authors? Books?

David Sedaris, because he is a master storyteller.
David Foster Wallace because he made me feel hip & rich when I earned his words.
F Scott Fitzgerald because of his mastery at creating a moment and setting a scene.
Beverly Cleary because she created characters and situations that became instantly real to her readers.
Mindy McCowan because she wrote the most excellent notes and excuses to keep me out of gym class for most of my Senior year.
To name just a few..
