About Me
I'm one of the PaperRats (along with R.J. Keller) of the writers' YouTube comic relief series "Inside the Writers' Studio," (take a look! www.youtube.com/user/paperrats ) and author of the semi-autobiographical war-ish novel Pretty Much True..., to release in spring of 2011. I've been a grocery bagger, a reporter, a cab driver, an adjunct professor, and a writing instructor, and am currently an editor (at a small publishing house, and also co-editor of the literary journal American Fiction [New Rivers Press: http://www.newriverspress.com] ).
Favorite jobs: grocery bagging and editing.
Why do you write?
I think it's fun and challenging to excuse the inexcusable.
Any favorite authors? Books?
Favorite authors: Steinbeck, Hemingway, Parker, Atwood, Irving, Chopin, Novakovich, and Oates (different reasons for each).
