About Me

I'm one of the PaperRats (along with R.J. Keller) of the writers' YouTube comic relief series "Inside the Writers' Studio," (take a look! www.youtube.com/user/paperrats) and author of Pretty Much True..., to release Sept. 4, 2012. I've been a grocery bagger, a reporter, a cab driver, an adjunct professor, and a writing instructor, and am currently a feature writer at a CT daily newspaper. I've also edited and co-edited American Fiction, this year's volume (12) judged by Josip Novakovich.

Why do you write?

It's fun and challenging to excuse the inexcusable.

Any favorite authors? Books?

Favorite authors: Steinbeck, Hemingway, Parker, Atwood, Irving, Chopin, Novakovich, and Oates (different reasons for each).

Thanks Kristen! I appreciate you reading "Hanging By A Moment", as well as your comments (and yea, I think if the Dad could find a few simple words to share with his son, he could move beyond the angst that's ripping him apart).

Hope all's well with you!

Key Kristen, I like the reason that you write. That DOES make writing fun (and challenging).
