Shya Scanlon's poetry collection In This Alone Impulse will be released by Noemi Press in December, 2009. His novel Forecast, serialized across 42 literary websites and blogs, will be released in hardcover by Flatmancrooked in spring, 2010.
His work has appeared in the journals Mississippi Review, Literary Review, New York Quarterly, Guernica Magazine, Opium Magazine, among others. He received his MFA from Brown University, where he was awarded the John Hawkes Prize in Fiction.

Beginning in the fall of 2009, he will be one of four fiction editors for www.TheNervousBreakdown.com.
