thank you, lou, way beyond the realm of perfection, the flip side of glorious imperfection, this piece was mostly a lot of fun to conceive with my daughter & write. thank you for your comment!
Lou,"we are on a very bad trajectory." God, yes, I agree. The media has a short memory-span. the Gulf is off the radar, Japan, and what about NEW ORLEANS!!! Part of an entire city wiped out maybe forever! It can make you shudder and want to pull the blankets over your head.
Thanks for reading my oil story. Hope you are doing well.

Hi Lou,
Thanks for your comments on Kilz. Just read This Girl- Good stuff.
You made me care about both those characters, and I didn't want the piece to end. All best.
Glad to hear back from you, Lou. The spam folder's played tricks on me before — it's frustrating. Great to connect with on here, and thanks for the blog comment, too.
Thanks for reading the naked man of barcelona and for the kind words. Its taken me so long to reply that you may not even remember. But i appreciate it.
I see you're a southerner. Me too. Where are you from?
I really dug your article on the art of haiku. I've been tinkering around with them for the past five years, and I learned a lot from reading your essay. Kerouac goes through creation of a haiku in his Paris Review interview — you can download the PDF from their site. Maybe you already have. I got really into the form after reading Jack's Book of Haikus, and realizing it's not all about the syllables or form, so much as it is spirit.
Lou, it was not a slog - some of the best American writers such as Carver, Shaw, Cheever write much longer stories than 6,000 words. As an Australian writer I was worried my stories would not be long enough, and although I know Walter has said it in jest, I'm surprised about the shorter stories. I guess it's a matter of time, or lack of, on the the part of the reader/s. I'm looking forward to reading more of your work.
Thanks, Lou for your kind comments on Mind Games. It was a new genre for me and I found it fun to write. Looks like I'm out of the o favs group! Thanks again.

Thanks for 'The Strange Tantes' look see. They were supposed to be my aunts, and sisters, or that's what us kiddies thought. Then that day, I found out neither was true and it sunk in. Guess its a nod to the hood that they weren't ostracized in that restrictive era, but sort of adopted and accepted as quirky outsiders let in.
Thanks for the reading of Poetipedia. BTW - B is selling unpublished really bad dementia poetry to other writers @ $20. a word (have you priced the cost of a good padded room lately?) - don't accept imitations, his is the worst.
