Welcome to Fictionaut! I like what you say above about listening to how brilliant children are. My favorite month of the year is when I get to work with kids during our Summer Youth Writing Program (Milwaukee). Fantastic and so inspiring!

Crazy isn't it... no matter our age something things never change!
I love that your focus is YA. I have a niece, 12, who always begs me to read my writing, and it's just not right for her yet. BUT, back when reading was something she hated, I went and scoured for every book that I thought might intrigue her -- because there is no better friend than a great book -- and through intense trial and error, and my will overcoming hers!, she's now a reader. You ever need a reader for your YA novel, or other, you've got a reader in me, willing to comment, etc. Seriously!
