About Me

I have been writing horror fiction for over 30 years. From my quiet Wisconsin home, which I share with my wife Julie and my much adored cats, I toil away during precious hours away from my day job to strive for the perfect prose.

Why do you write?

Why do I write? Simple. I can't help it.

Any favorite authors? Books?

Stephen King for his voice. Robert McCammon for his eloquence. John Grisham for his clarity.

Books I adore follow suit:
A Boy's Life by McCammon
Salem's Lot by King
and recently, Ford County by Grisham

Ah! Just saw what Linda wrote -- yes, by all means: come round to 52|250 if flash floats your boat. :)

Michelle Elvy – Sep 03, 2010

Thanks, Dean, for the lovely comment on Time to Rest. Interesting you write about whether or how long the earth will mourn our passing... I think she's rather indifferent; strength grants you that. We, on the other hand, cannot afford to be indifferent. Very nice meeting you here, and I will be back to read your stories this weekend. Looking forward to it! Welcome...

Linda Simoni-Wastila – Sep 01, 2010

Dean, thanks for the kind words on Can't Wait. Please, come join the fun at the 52/250 group (seprate blog as well). And welcome to fictionaut! Post some words of your own. Peace...
