Marcelle,

Thanks for the good review of “Victory.” You are the best.

Jack Swenson, 3 days ago

I always know I’ve done something right when I get a comment from you, Marcelle. Thanks for your “review” my Paris story.

Ed Higgins, 4 days ago

Hi Marcelle, thanx for your nice comment on my “Kitchen Knife (n.)” piece. Just as your note popped into my email I was on your Off Island site—looking further to see what another northwest local was doing! Anyway, haven’t had a chance to look at some of your stuff on fictionaut yet but I see a handful of intriguing titles. For the rest of the day tho I’m reading portfolios from my fiction writing students (soooooo painful sometimes—buy, hey, they’re learning, I hope!). Later when I desperately need an escape into good writing I’ll dip into yours. My best. —ed

p.s. I think I screwed up and posted this on my own wall! trying to response to your “Hi fellow Oregonian :).” I’m still a newbie at this fictionaut posting stuff, but enjoying all the good writing I’m discovering.

Joshua Moses, Feb 24

thanks Marcelle. I appreciate it.

Jack Swenson, Feb 23

Wow, Marcelle. I don’t know if I’d call it brilliant, but I’m glad you liked my “zoo animals” story.

Foster Trecost, Feb 22

Hi Marcelle, thank you for reading and commenting on my story - I really appreciate both.

Jack Swenson, Feb 20

Oh, Marcelle, you would pick out that line in my ducks story! I was pretty proud of myself when the line popped into my head. Thank you.

Julie Innis, Feb 20

Thank you so much, Marcelle - means a lot coming from you!

Jack Swenson, Feb 18

Hi Marcelle,
NE is wonderful. I’m in the SW hills. See you around-thanks for stopping by.

Ravi Mangla, Jan 30

Thanks, Marcelle!

Susan Tepper, Jan 30

“Three Dreamers” is a terrific piece. It felt so intimate, as if the reader was there in bed with the couple, and in bed with the dog. That kind of intimacy is hard to attain and you did it with great ecomony. Brava!

Karen Marcus, Jan 29

Hi Marcelle. Thanks for the invite. I’ll see if I can squeeze one more social media outlet into my schedule. ;-)

Bobbi Lurie, Jan 25

Dear Marcelle,
Thank you for your very kind welcome!!

Shiznit, I figured out what the micro award is. My bad, it’s 115 a.m. here - time to get some sleep. Kudos to you as well! And thanks for your kind message last week. Lemme give it some (more) thought. D

David Erlewine, Jan 13

Hey Marcelle, thanks for congratulating me on the micro award nomination. Um, what is this and when was i nominated? Is there a trip to Indonesia involved? Thanks for the kind words about Movie Night. I’m quite happy (though not surprised) to hear you like Bottle Rocket. Yes, ha, movies have caused many a fight in my life with exes. Thankfully my wife likes most of the movies I like. Most.

Chris Okum, Jan 07

Thank you for the positive comment about my story, Marcelle. I’m glad you found some it funny. I just read Eldorado and thought it was great. Look forward to reading more of your work.

Re: your Luna Park affiliation, Robin Hemley et al (via the Univ. of Iowa Nonfiction Writing Program) is starting a new online journal called Defunct that features reviews of all things defunct: cultures, music, literary journals, ideas, technology, etc etc etc. Once it’s up and running, would you be interested in us giving you a holler? The premiere issue is going to be really great (out this spring).

Marcel Inhoff, Dec 27

Hello Marcelle, nice to meet you. Thank you for introducing yourself. =)

Jennifer Tatroe, Dec 19
