    Bill Yarrow – Oct 23, 2010

Thanks, Jen, for the fave of "Knot Eye." I appreciate it very much. I'm glad you liked the poem.

    re: the use of "lumpy."
Peter Richter wrote me, "I question the use of lumpy. It's not that it ruins the piece, it does however stand out."
My reply: Kind of like a knot in a piece of string, eh?
(also "lumpy" as related to gravy at Thanksgiving ...)

But maybe you and Cherise are right. Maybe it is the wrong word here. Thanks for pointing it out. I'll keep rethinking it.

    Darryl Price – Oct 22, 2010

Hello Jen. We're glad to have you with us. Welcome.

    Sly V. Rourke – Oct 21, 2010

Hi Jen! Thanks for your note. I actually went to school at OWU, in Delaware, but no one knows where Delaware is so I say Columbus.

And, ha, regarding the masses line. I worked in a law firm and one guy there said he wanted to be a teacher b/c he wanted to reach the masses. The way he said it was extremely creepy and has stayed with me even 20 years later!

    Thanks for checking in. David

    Sara – Oct 21, 2010
