About Me

I'm the managing editor and co-founder of Flatmancrooked. I graduated with a BA in English & Creative Writing from the University of California at Davis. After that I earned my Fiction MFA at Boston University. My novella, "We're Getting On," is forthcoming next spring, complete with a crazy promotional campaign. My first short story collection, anchored by the novella, "Brute," is forthcoming some time in 2010 from somewhere. More details on that later.

My work has appeared or is forthcoming in Opium, Monkeybicycle, Best New Writing, Avery, Flatmancrooked, Johnny America, and probably other places.

Why do you write?

A compulsion is a compulsion. Anyway, I've spent too much money and time on my education to question the source of my inspiration.
