Watching Home Movies With My Twin Brother
by Chris Okum
"That was you."
"That wasn't me."
"That was you."
"That was you."
"That wasn't me."
"Well, it wasn't me."
"Then who was it?"
"That was you."
"That wasn't me. I never wore that shirt."
"Yes you did."
"So did you."
"We both did."
"Then how do you know that was me?"
"That was you."
"I hated that shirt."
"You liked it."
"No, I didn't. You did. That's why we always had to wear it. Because you liked it."
"I'm telling you, that wasn't me."
"Go back."
"I can't."
"What do you mean you can't?"
"I don't know how."
"Well neither do I."
"Who cares."
"I care. Because that wasn't me. And I'm not going to sit here and listen to you tell me that that was me. It was you. I know the difference between you and me."
"Obviously you don't."
"I'm not the one with the bad memory."
"I have a photographic memory."
"I do."
"So do I."
"You can't even remember that shirt."
"That has nothing to do with it."
"It has everything to do with it."
"I remember that shirt."
"And I remember you wearing it."
"That was me?"
"That was you."
"Then who is that?"
"That's you, too."
"That's you."
"Please."
"That was you. How can you say that wasn't you?"
"It wasn't me."
"And it wasn't me."
"Then who was it?"
"It has to be one of us."
"It's you."
"Then where are you?"
"I don't know. Where am I?"
"How come it's always me?"

Oh, I love this. So much between the lines.
Haha, perfect!
Bacon!
This is perfect Chris- as a twin I can identify - funniest thing I've read all week. By the way, I posted something over at Six Sentences that was inspired by this and heavily borrowed. Hope you don't mind. I acknowledged you and linked this site/post.
Well said. *
