I am looking for a psychologist to meet with me 3 times per week, preferably face to face.
It would be helpful if you specialized in, or at least had worked with previously, creative-minded professionals like myself.
I am a struggling, creative-minded professional who spends way too much time in my own creative mind.
I wrote that one story (you've probably read it) about the alligator and the olive tree. I am not as egotistical as that sentence implies; I swear.
And I didn't use that semi-colon just because I actually know how to use them.
Or to show that my ego and my swearing my ego is non-existent are somehow inextricably bound in a force of magnetized boundary and existential claim. No, not at all.
Don't try to analyze this advertisement, please. Save it for the office.
Also, you should know, I've been described as defensive and offensive all at the same time. But that's just because of my creative-mindedness, I promise.
Please reply at your own risk. Need help and soon. Want to publish 3rd book on the psychological impacts of being rejected by various psychologists.

Sometimes things just pop into your head in the elevator. This is one of those things.
Great story - very funny - my favorite line : I wrote that one story (you've probably read it) about the alligator and the olive tree.
Why thanks, Marcelle. Glad you enjoyed it! Interesting how small details like of that story (which were just spontaneous appearances for me) are your favorite... :)
ha, this is good, alyssa. why are so many writers offensive and defensive?
"Save it for the office." Indeed.
I like the passive-aggressive nature of the narrator and the darkness beneath the humor. Nice.
@David Thanks! Why ARE writers offensive and defensive? glad you enjoyed.
@Susan Thank you :)
As a psychotherapist, I particularly enjoyed reading a request for help from a creative person who clearly doesn't need any. The last line is a hoot. Very funny work, Alyssa.
Ha! Thanks, Barry.
